The Caltaf Track Classic has also had outstanding performances in the open age group and has featured great Canadian track and field stars such as Donovan Bailey, Don Bruno and Glenroy Gilbert.

The Caltaf Track Classic is an annual track and field meet hosted by the Calgary Track and Field Athletic Association. It showcases some of Alberta’s finest athletes of all ages as well as some of Canada’s current and best track and field stars. In the past, the majority of athletes who compete at the Caltaf Track Classic are younger athletes eager to test their limits and see how far their hard work and dedication can take them. Many of these athletes have later gone on to represent Canada in international competitions.
